Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU night shift position requiring a Nevada RN license, ventilator training, and prior travel assignment experience.

Details
  • Neonatal ICU unit within a Level II trauma center hospital
  • 3x12 night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Call requirements to be discussed during interview
  • Floating required to other units within competency level
  • One additional shift pickup required during the schedule period
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
  • Facility may cancel up to 48 hours of shifts per contract for low census without penalty
  • Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
  • Active or obtainable State of Nevada RN license required prior to hire
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA only)
  • Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III or higher NICU
  • Ventilator trained
  • At least one completed 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
  • Epic EMR training provided during orientation or candidate may test out
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to NICU patients and their families across the episode of care
  • Work within the region's only Level II trauma center, serving over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
  • Returning travelers must complete a 13-week break before starting a new contract at this facility
  • No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are 13 weeks
  • Requested RTO must be included at time of consideration
  • First-time travelers will not be considered due to required prior travel experience
