Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a major Atlanta hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and broad surgical case expertise including robotics.

Details
  • Work in the main inpatient surgical unit (Ground Floor Surgery) of a large hospital campus
  • High-volume OR environment handling between 28–55 cases per day
  • Service lines include Orthopedic, Neuro, Urology, General, and Thoracic surgery
  • Three da Vinci Xi robotic systems in use for General, Urology, and Thoracic service lines
  • Travelers are expected to have expertise across all case types, including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, and GYN
  • Unit is staffed 24/7
  • 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (schedule may vary)
  • 3 shifts per week
  • 13-week contract
  • No on-call requirements
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Georgia or a compact state currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • AHA ACLS certification preferred
  • Broad surgical case expertise required, including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, and thoracic
  • Driver's License required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have at least a 2-year break from the facility before being considered
  • RTO (time off) requests must be submitted upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is accepted
  • AHA certifications must be current and non-expired
