Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care (IMCU) position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.
Details
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), designated 5J-Intermediate, within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy
- Patient ratio of 1:4 on a 16–10 bed unit
- Heparin drips are administered on this unit
- 12-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse patient cases is required
- Background in large-scale trauma or fast-paced critical care settings strongly preferred
