Description

The Web Developer is responsible for the development of training programs and courseware using the instructional system design (ISD) process and for producing media training materials using program guidelines.

  • Conducts internal quality checks (IQCs) on all courseware deliverables to meet established standards outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assists in front-end analysis through interaction with subject matter experts (SMEs) and/or customer representatives while ensuring compliance with required standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Works with assigned experts to develop ISD products through a process that includes review and research of government furnished materials (GFMs).
  • Interviews SMEs locates and extracts information from GFMs, course structure, and other ISD documents as required to ensure training meets ISD and technical requirements.
  • Uses established standards for format and style, procedures for design and development of courseware media, and training materials.
  • Collaborates with SMEs, graphic artists, and others as directed to design and develop computer-aided instruction (CAI) and mediated interactive lecture lessons.
  • Exercises good judgment in interpreting instructions and assumes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of work produced. Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
  • Works independently or with other team members and customers to validate training materials.
  • Travels and performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school/college in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or computer-related field.
  • Five to ten years' experience in programming/developing/coding/software engineering.
  • Strong Project management, problem solving, critical thinking and reading comprehension skills.
  • Fluent in web/programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.).
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Install and maintain new or updated releases of various software and system updates.
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a collaborative, team-based environment. 
  • United States Top Secret Security Clearance.
