Responsibilities
This role is focused on PR strategy and planning, media relations and reputation management. The successful candidate will be a confident, highly motivated media professional with strong storytelling skills and established media relationships, capable of communicating clearly and decisively in a fast-paced environment. This role will promote both the Global Travel Collection (GTC) and Internova brands to external audiences and deliver compelling, accurate content under tight deadlines, while securing high-impact coverage across luxury, business, travel and trade media. Working closely with senior leadership and advisors, the role will elevate brand visibility and help attract new advisors to the GTC community.
Public Relations & Media Relations
  • Develop and execute proactive PR plans and media strategies aligned with business objectives, key initiatives and advisor recruitment priorities.
  • Lead U.S. media relations strategy for GTC, with a strong emphasis on luxury leisure, business travel and travel trade media.
  • Act as a primary media liaison for GTC, while also supporting Internova PR efforts as required.
  • Build, maintain and deepen relationships with national, regional and industry media across print, digital, broadcast and podcasts.
  • Proactively identify newsworthy stories, trends and thought leadership opportunities; develop pitches that position GTC executives and advisors as industry experts.
  • Write, edit and distribute press releases, media advisories, executive statements and talking points for GTC.
  • Secure high-value media coverage, interviews, profiles and speaking opportunities for executives and designated spokespeople, including advisors.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives and senior stakeholders on PR strategy, messaging and media engagement.
  • Support and participate in media training for executives and selected travel advisors.
  • Manage media engagement around key events, conferences, branch meetings and marketing activations, including media briefings and on-site support where required.
  • Monitor travel industry trends, competitive activity and regulatory or policy developments; flag media opportunities and risks and draft commentary when appropriate.

PR Strategy, Reporting & Measurement
  • Track, analyze and report on media coverage for GTC, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Compile and distribute regular media coverage reports.
  • Maintain and update media lists.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and tone across all external PR outputs for GTC.

Collaboration & Internal Alignment
  • Collaborate with UK PR colleague for GTC to align messaging and share best practices across markets.
  • Partner with marketing, social media, demand generation and advisor-facing teams to amplify earned media coverage.
  • Coordinate with Internova corporate communications to ensure alignment on shared narratives and priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in public relations or media relations, preferably within travel, luxury, lifestyle or a related consumer-facing industry.
  • Demonstrated success in securing national and high-quality media coverage.
  • Strong existing media contacts across travel, luxury, lifestyle, business and trade outlets.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience advising senior leaders and acting as a trusted PR counselor.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with PR tools such as Cision, Muck Rack and media monitoring platforms.
  • Available and willing to travel for events and media opportunities.
