Registered Nurse โ Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date: 08/10/2026 for a 16-week engagement. Weekly pay ranges from $2,902 to $3,025. Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (day/evening). Setting: hospital OR with
cardiovascular/open-heart cases in a large, academic teaching environment. This role requires both scrub and circulating duties and may include limited float to other OR suites. On-call coverage is part of the schedule, including one full weekend of call every 5 weeks and occasional weekday calls. Bi-weekly orientations occur on Mondays. No block schedules.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for
cardiovascular/open-heart procedures, maintaining sterile technique and assisting the surgical team throughout cases
- Prepare and arrange required equipment, implants, and supplies; verify instrument counts and accountability
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively; coordinate with anesthesia and surgical team to optimize patient safety and outcomes
- Manage documentation in the Epic EMR and ensure accurate perioperative records
- Assist with patient positioning, specimen labeling, and labeling of implants and devices
- May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.) to support patient care and unit needs
- Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific for assignment)
- BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent
cardiovascular/open-heart case exposure
- Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate in complex cardiovascular procedures
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Prior travel experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a rotating day/evening schedule; on-call and weekend coverage as described
- Willingness and ability to float to other OR suites as needed
