Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) day shift position in Denver, CO, requiring vent/trach experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.
Job Details
• Day shift schedule, 6:00 AM - 6:15 PM,
• 8-week contract,
• Works in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Chronic care unit,
• Patient population includes complex, chronically ill patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ventilator/trach management, and central line care,
• Patient ratio is 1:6,
• Every other weekend required,
Job Requirements
• Active CO RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand,
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted),
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or equivalent RN experience required,
• Vent/trach experience required,
• Central line knowledge required,
• Wound care experience preferred,
• Full US SSN required for consideration,
• Date of birth required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies,
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care,
• Delegates and supervises assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
