Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration and vascular surgery experience for a 13-week assignment in a clinical setting serving adolescent and adult patients.
Job Details
• Work within the Interventional Radiology department serving adolescent and adult patients,
• 13-week assignment with 4x10 hour shifts,
• Shift start times of 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM depending on call rotation,
• Flexibility to work holidays as needed,
• Call required from 7 PM to 7 AM, including one weekday call each week and one weekend call per month,
• Produces high quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards,
• Uses EPIC for charting,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology required,
• Experience in Body, Neuro, and Vascular Surgery procedures required,
• Previous scrub case experience required,
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible with certification obtained before start date,
• Current ARRT R.T.(R) registration required,
• ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) required within 18 months of start date, though current VI certification is strongly preferred,
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross),
• Active license required, if applicable,
• Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique preferred,
• Associate's degree preferred,
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required,
• Must be flexible to work varied hours, shift lengths, and locations,

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiology and assigned Operating Room areas,
• Practice safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and self,
• Foster teamwork through effective communication,
• Maintain flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths,
• Respond to on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends,
• Facility may call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census,
• On-site position with no teleworking option
