North Alabama Medical Center is a 263 bed facility offering the community's only open heart surgery site, a complete line of women's and children's services and a complete line of medical and imaging services. We are a Certified Chest Pain center and recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center's 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.

Job Summary: Under the supervision of a Registered Radiology Technologist, takes diagnostic radiographs and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Job Requirements: Minimum Education- Current student in good standing in an approved course in Radiologic Technology. Minimum Work Experience- Radiology Student 2nd year: Actively enrolled in, and in good standing in 2nd year of an accredited Radiography Program. Must have competencies in the various radiologic exams being performed. Required SkillsCertifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions: Takes diagnostic radiographs of various parts of the body to assist the medical staff in diagnosing disease, injury and the location of foreign bodies. Develops and prepares films for interpretation. Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.
