About the Role
The Operations Program Manager is responsible for designing, launching, and scaling key initiatives that support the employee lifecycle across California. This role works closely with executive leadership, department leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver programs focused on onboarding, training, employee engagement, and workplace safety. The position plays a key role in aligning organizational priorities with day-to-day execution to support a well-prepared, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
Responsibilities
· Design and facilitate statewide onboarding programs to support a consistent and effective new hire experience
· Partner with department leaders to develop role-specific training pathways for technical readiness
· Develop and support leadership training programs for current and emerging leaders
· Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and action planning
· Coordinate workplace safety training compliance and support hazard awareness and prevention efforts
· Manage program timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation
· Support budget tracking and recommend external vendors or platforms as needed
· Track and report on program metrics, including onboarding effectiveness and retention indicators
· Collaborate with Human Resources and cross-functional teams to align training and program goals
· Design and maintain training materials, facilitator guides, and learning assets
· Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions
· Map and improve the end-to-end employee experience from offer acceptance through onboarding
· Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with operational and compliance requirements
· Support leaders in developing structured onboarding plans (30‑60‑90 day plans)
