Job description

Neurosurgery practice is looking for a full-time medical assistant who is detailed oriented and reliable and can travel to our two locations.  
Responsibilities 
  • Room patient, obtain vitals, obtain patient histories, review medication list.  
  • Assist physician during exams 
  • Prepare medical records prior to appointments and ensure all pertinent information, such as lab results and reports, are in the file prior to the physician’s visit 
  • Manage physician schedule to make more productive 
  • Perform a range of basic office support, not limited to answering phones and triage patient’s phone calls, routine clerical data entry, and scanning documents 
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments 
  • Prior authorizations for office visits, procedures, and testing 
Skills 
  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant with 1-2 yrs experience  
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Able to work independently and as a team player
