Job description

TRAVELING INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Traveling Installation Technician for a company based in the Kennesaw, GA area. In this direct hire role, you will have the opportunity to travel across the country, work hands-on with installation projects, and grow into leadership opportunities with a company that values reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

Pay Rate
Starting at $20.00 per hour, based on Experience
$56/day per diem while traveling
Mileage reimbursement
Schedule and Hours
Travel-based schedule (100% travel required)
Typical projects are 5+ days on the road, with potential for longer assignments
Must be flexible for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overnight travel
Traveling Installation Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Travel nationwide to install large outdoor commercial structures at customer locations
• Drive company Ram 3500 trucks with large trailers to transport tools, equipment, and materials
• Use hand and power tools in a construction-style environment to complete installations
• Work directly with customers on-site while representing the company professionally
• Prepare, inspect, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for each project
• Follow all DOT and safety regulations while traveling and working on job sites
Traveling Installation Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• DOT certification required (or ability to obtain with company support)
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Comfortable driving larger trucks and towing trailers (training provided)
• Mechanical aptitude, hand tool experience, or construction experience is a plus
• Comfortable with physically demanding work, travel, and changing schedules
• Professional communication skills and dependable work ethic
