Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Lock Technician to join our field service and shop operations. Whether you are an experienced lock technician looking to grow your career with an established industry leader or a hands-on problem solver eager to learn a lifelong trade as an Apprentice, we want to hear from you.

  • Experienced Technicians: Proven expertise in installing, diagnosing, and servicing commercial door hardware, re-keying, master keying, and electronic security solutions is a major plus.

  • Apprentices: Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service are invited to apply—we provide on-the-job trade education!

Responsibilities

  • Installation & Repair: Install, repair, and replace mechanical products, locks, door closers, exit devices, and hardware across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

  • Keying Systems: Originate, duplicate, and re-key locks, as well as build/maintain Master Key Systems for multi-location commercial clients.

  • Electronic Security: Assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage electrified door hardware, keyless access systems, and electric strikes.

  • Customer Care: Uphold Ace Lock's reputation for honesty and reliability by providing friendly, professional service to clients in high-stress lockout or security-upgrade situations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our retail shop staff, dispatch team, and fellow field technicians to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tool proficiency.

  • Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent diagnostic skills to quickly solve lock, hardware, or alignment issues in the field.

  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.

  • Dependability: Strong work ethic, team-first attitude, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for field service assignments.
