  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities
  • Prepare procedure rooms with sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies prior to endoscopic procedures
  • Assist physicians and nurses during upper GI, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and other endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy equipment and video systems
  • Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, and high-level reprocessing of endoscopes according to facility and manufacturer guidelines
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock endoscopy supplies and equipment
  • Transport specimens and ensure proper labeling according to laboratory protocols
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and recovery as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and equipment logs
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, sterile processing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an Endoscopy Technician program preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy Technician experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfection required
  • Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, instrumentation, and GI procedures
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention and sterile processing standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
