Hiring for Corrections RN in Estancia, NM
 

Title                    : Corrections RN

Location            :  Estancia, NM

Shifts                 : 12hrs Nights, 36 hours per week (Flexible).

Duration            : 13 weeks


Pay Package: - $1,008/week taxable + $1,246 /week Non-Taxable (Housing/Meals/Lodging) = $2,254/Week Gross. Total Weekly (For 36 hours work week).

NOTE: US Citizenship required for clearance - can start with ICE clearance pending.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Clinical Oversight: Supervise and monitor nursing and medical staff, evaluate medical services for quality and efficiency, and closely track high-risk or catastrophic cases.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws (including controlled substances), correctional policies, and accreditation standards (e.g., NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO); assist with audits and formulary adherence.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, confidential medical records; review files for proper documentation; prepare reports, logs, safety/incident reports, and assist with legal documentation and court proceedings as needed.
  • Security & Safety Management: Monitor inmate/resident hospitalizations, observe and document behavior, inspect medical units for contraband risks, and respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual incidents.
  • Communication & Coordination: Maintain effective working relationships with facility staff, providers, and outside agencies; provide health education and counseling; support the Health Services Administrator in operational and compliance activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
  • RN Active License.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
  • COVID & Flu Vaccinated or approved Exemptions.
