Job description

GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse Correctional for a travel nursing job in Huntsville, Texas.

Corrections - Registered Nurse - Nights
**Only up to $200 Travel Reimbursement will be approved**
Orientation Dates:ย 
August 1st & 2nd - Beaumont Office - Beaumont TX
Completed Profiles and CLP Due on: July 16th
(deadline to submit is 7/2)

Orientation is held in Conroe or Beaumont, but they will work at whichever facility they accepted the offer. ย ย 
MUST be able to work through the holidays, no time off allowed
Length:ย 13 weeks but will be continuous employment. (aka extensions) ย 
Shift:ย Nights;ย 1745-0615
Hours per week:ย 36/48 - rotations are not guaranteed but 36 hours each week is, must have flexibility
OT:ย Eligibility to work OT Is available contingent on performanceย 
Based on:ย 

  • Call-ins
  • Punctuality
  • Unexcused absences
  • Cannot have 5 or more consecutive shifts (this will not be approved.)
  • Cap at 60 hours total or 20 hours OT.ย 


Float Requirements:ย Will be asked to float as needed. They will float to different units that are within 10 - 30 minutes of each other. They would be compensated through the facility for drive time up to 30 minutes with a punch correction. (Clock in once they arrive at their scheduled unit before they are asked to divert to cover the expense)

Scheduling:ย 

  • 4 weeks block booking by the 20th
  • Work week is Saturday โ€“ Friday, this is how OT is calculatedย 

ย Certs:ย BLS
License:ย Compact or Texas RN
Experience:

  • 2 years of RN experience required
  • Travelers that come from HH or hospice can succeed but is rare
  • Floor nursing in LTAC or acute care are most successful
  • Must have at least 1 Year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience ย 
  • LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing and/or Psych is a plus to succeed in this environmentย

  • Thick skinned
  • Independent
  • Does not participate in internal issues and gossip
  • Successful in a Fast paced environmentย
