Job description

Are you a copywriter with the skills to hone a brand voice across creative briefs, who is as comfortable writing copy as they are wrestling with big ideas, who loves to push to create really outstanding work?

If your answer to all three is yes, this could be the role for you.

Navan is a unified, AI-powered travel and expense platform. Our mission is to power the in-person connections that move people, ideas, and businesses forward. Simply put, we help travelers focus on being there, not getting there.

We listed on Nasdaq last year, and this year we're taking it up a notch. To help Navan tell a bigger, bolder story and scale our brand globally, the Navan Creative Team is looking for a Brand Copywriter. You'll concept boundary-pushing ideas, build campaigns that stand out, and bring a distinctive voice to everything we ship.

You'll join the crew of marketers and creatives who are building Navan's brand, writing across the full customer journey and a wide mix of channels - from web and high-converting landing pages to paid campaigns, social media, and lifecycle programs.

One day you're tightening a tagline for performance; the next, you're shaping the narrative for a new product or big brand moment. You'll dive into a complex industry and robust tech, turning dense information into snappy, smart, crystal-clear copy for very different audiences.

Your portfolio should showcase sharp thinking and execution: smart concepts, clear structure, and copy that performs. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, is scrappy when needed, and is excited to push this brand forward with bold, memorable work.

If you want to help build a brand, ship a lot, and see your ideas show up across a fast-growing company, let's talk. Navan is growing, we have real momentum in the market, and we've got an energetic team that's serious about doing standout work.

What You'll Do:

  • Concept and execute compelling content primarily for web, social, and ads
  • Drive creative strategy and brand consistency across assets
  • Use performance data to inform how you approach and iterate creative
  • Partner with cross-functional team members to bring different programs to life
  • Ship work nimbly within tight timelines
  • Manage small and large projects with focus and attention to detail
  • Closely partner with our brand designers to marry copy and design for creative excellence

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent copywriting skills (obviously)
  • 3+ years experience, ideally working in-house
  • A robust portfolio showcasing exceptional creative work and high-impact copy
  • Experience with SEO copywriting best practices
  • Attention to detail; strong proofreading skills
  • Ability to get into the mindset of our different audiences - CFOs, travel managers, accounting professionals - and flex tone of voice and approach to connect with them on different channels
  • A "let's figure this out" mentality when faced with obstacles
  • A love for travel
