Familiarity with safety protocols, basic first aid/CPR certification, and the use of scheduling or communication apps is typically required. Strong leadership, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills help counselors connect with campers and manage group dynamics effectively. Regular debriefs with the team can also help address concerns and improve future trips.

What is a travel camp?

A travel camp is a program, often designed for children or teenagers, where participants visit various destinations as part of an organized group. Unlike traditional camps that stay in one location, travel camps involve trips to different cities, attractions, or even countries, combining travel experiences with recreational and educational activities. These camps typically offer a structured itinerary, supervision by experienced staff, and opportunities for campers to build independence, social skills, and cultural awareness. Travel camps can range from day trips and overnight excursions to multi-week adventures, depending on the age group and camp focus.
