Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Youth Basketball Coach to lead and develop boy or girl athletes in a positive, structured, and fun enviornment. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and coaching games during the season.
Examples of Duties
  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate basketball practices
  • Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and game strategy.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes respect, effort, and sportsmanship
  • Manage team logistics including communication with players and parents
  • Serve as a role model for youth athletes, demonstrating integrity, enthusiasm, and leadership
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during practices and events.

Qualifications
  • Previous basketball experience (travel or recreational) is required.
  • Experience working with children, particularly preschool - 8th grade
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a strong desire to mentor young athletes
