Junior High Boys' BASKETBALL COACH

Reports To: Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach
Employment Type: Seasonal/Extra-Curricular

Job Summary:
Chisholm Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Boys Junior High Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and helping student-athletes develop both on and off the court.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all practices and games.
  • Teach fundamental basketball skills and strategies appropriate for junior high athletes.
  • Promote positive team culture, sportsmanship, and academic accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
  • Ensure all district and MSHSL (or local league) rules and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Maintain equipment and uniforms responsibly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes of varying skill levels.
  • Must meet all coaching and background check requirements as outlined by the district.
