An exceptional Trauma & Acute Care Surgery opportunity is available within a nationally significant Level I Trauma Center in the Atlanta metro area. This role offers the chance to practice in one of the busiest and highest-acuity environments in the country, with exposure to complex trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. Physicians will join a highly collaborative, well-supported team with strong APP and resident coverage, allowing for efficient workload distribution and enhanced patient care. The program is actively expanding, creating opportunities for leadership, academic involvement, and future fellowship development. With a structured shift model and emphasis on team-based care, this position supports both clinical excellence and sustainability. This is an ideal opportunity for surgeons seeking high-volume experience, academic engagement, and long-term career growth in a premier trauma program.   

Position, Compensation & Organization Highlights 

  • Level I Trauma Center with nationally significant volume and acuity 
  • ~150,000+ ED visits annually; one of the busiest in the U.S. 
  • ~2,200 trauma activations and 4,000 trauma patients per year 
  • ~2,000 emergency general surgery cases annually

  • 12 clinical shifts per month across trauma, ICU, and EGS
