Helping Hands Counseling Services is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with a specialization in trauma-informed care to join our dedicated team in Bellevue, Washington. • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and inform treatment planning.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, personalized coping strategies, and long-term resilience.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's needs, including modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where clients can openly process their trauma experiences and learn effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, discussing treatment options and progress during case consultations.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed to support clients in managing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and how to access additional resources for support.
• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing team meetings and professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals affected by various trauma-related challenges, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects and values each individual's unique experience. Through your therapeutic interventions, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating their journey towards healing and empowerment.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid professional licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge in trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental, compassionate approach.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, providing genuine support to clients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
• A commitment to collaborative teamwork within a multidisciplinary care setting.

• Experience in working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural sensitivity in therapeutic practices.
• Familiarity with providing telehealth services and best practices for virtual therapy sessions.
