Description

American Traveler is hiring a Trauma Neuro ICU RN for night shifts, requiring an active IN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant ICU experience.

Details
  • Work in the Neuro Trauma ICU of a Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, Transplant Center, and Burn Center
  • Standard patient ratio of 2:1
  • Patient population includes MVC, gunshot wounds, stabbings, falls, CVA, craniotomy, and aneurysm rupture cases
  • Utilizes EVD and lumbar drain equipment
  • Uses Sunrise charting system
  • 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (19:00-07:30)
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • Holiday coverage per unit need
Requirements
  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Trauma ICU experience preferred
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
  • Provide critical care nursing to trauma and neurosurgical ICU patients
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
