Registered Nurse - Trauma ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift available, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

The Trauma ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a Level I Trauma setting. The candidate must possess prior trauma experience, a strong understanding of ICU protocols, and effectively manage a patient load of 1:2.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage care for ventilated patients.
  • Perform central line care and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP).
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
  • Handle blood product administration and BiPAP/CPAP management.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Trauma ICU setting.
  • Travel experience is required.
  • Must have active RN licensure in hand at time of submittal.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. PALS and TNCC preferred.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is required.
  • Charge experience is preferred.
