Job description

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Supervisor, based in Union City, to plan, direct and coordinate the Logistics at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Coordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems.
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
  • Assign approved service provider for transportation based on the approved carrier matrix, mode, service level, and cost efficiency to meet the customer's expectations.
  • Ensure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained.
  • Proactively works with operations to identify shipments at risk of not meeting secure dates based on mode, service level, miles, equipment type.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures used in material planning and logistics operations and practices.
  • Knowledge of various means of transport / transit times.
