We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Route Manager to support day-to-day transportation and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring shipments move efficiently, maintaining accurate information, and delivering exceptional customer service.


The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills. This position will work closely with drivers and dispatchers to monitor and improve lane performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to manage freight movement
  • Conduct regular check calls with drivers to monitor shipment status
  • Verify shipment details, including pickup/delivery times, locations, and documentation
  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipment status and any changes
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions
  • Analyze route performance and report findings to the Operations Manager
  • Work directly with drivers and  dispatchers to improve performance on assigned lanes
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred 
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
  • Background in customer service, carrier sales, or account coordination
