Position Title: Procurement Specialist

Reports To: Senior Manager, Sourcing

Position Summary:

A Procurement Specialist is a well-organized and detail orientated individual, able to manage time effectively in a fast paced environment and continuously demonstrates self-sufficiency in performing the responsibilities of the role. The position requires multitasking with the customer order managers, KSB factories and external suppliers, inventory control and shop personnel, and other internal customers. The primary function of the role is ordering goods and services in adherence to the requirements outlined in purchase requisitions and other such administrative purchases.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly in adherence to parameters for processing of purchase requests.
  • Place and process purchase orders timely and accurately, as specified in procedural guidelines.
  • Effectively process required information to facilitate timely delivery, within targeted parameters.
  • Track orders and effectively communicate delivery timing to requisitioners, as per service level agreements.
  • Maintain effective internal customer interface with compliant (timely and accurate) information conveyance.
  • Work with KSB factories and external vendors to provide qualifying materials/services within timelines.
  • Work to optimize stock levels to fulfill internal and external customer needs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Item Master records and participate in implementation and operation of ERP.
  • Maintain complete and accurate procurement and order processing files to aid and facilitate effective information availability.
  • Assist in the ongoing measurement of supplier performance.
  • Provide backup for other supply chain specialists and department resources.
  • Other duties as specifically assigned.

Education / Experience:

High School diploma required. College or technical degree, preferred. Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000
