We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Transportation Manager with experience in managing vehicle logistics and driving operational efficiency. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for logistics services in your assigned market. You will be involved in coordinating the daily operations of drive-away and sublet transport services for vehicles to/from our customers at the Vehicle Logistics Centers (VLCs). In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in logistics, management, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in logistics and managing teams.

Who You Will Work With:

  • Reporting to the Director, Logistics Operations, this role will collaborate with the market logistics team on a daily basis.

  • You will also collaborate with Vehicle Logistics Center (VLC) operations and customer support teams in your assigned region on a regular basis.

  • You will oversee a team of drivers, administrative clerks, dispatchers and supervisors (if applicable).

You Will:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, training, and development to the logistics team, including managing the internal driver pool and overseeing carrier dispatching, compliance, and claims.

  • Manage team staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping to ensure adequate coverage for pickup and delivery order volume.

  • Attract, engage, and retain talent, ensuring all employees are thoroughly familiar with safe work processes and operating procedures.

  • Serve as the primary transportation contact for the local Vehicle Logistics Center (VLC), resolving customer concerns and setting a high standard of satisfaction.

  • Be accountable for the market's financial performance, using KPIs and standardized reports to monitor spending, manage costs, and forecast against actuals.

  • Manage the safe, efficient, and profitable movement of fleet lease, factory, and consignment vehicles by ensuring all processes meet or exceed SLA standards.

  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring department-specific safety tasks are completed in accordance with the safety program.

  • Support initiatives by engaging in their development, deployment, and change management.

Must Haves:

  • 3-5 Years' of related experience in a logistics or dispatching role

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience

  • Tech-savvy, and comfortable using Google Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain calm and diplomatic in dispute resolution situations

  • Autonomous, self-driven, proactive and a team player

  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle demands and meet deadlines

Nice to Haves:

  • Related-post secondary education preferred

  • Proficient in Google applications

  • CRM experience (SalesForce, Five9 preferred)

  • Experience in software support or automotive knowledge preferred

  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
