Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company specializing in pipeline, facility, electrical, and instrumentation construction. We are seeking an EntryLevel Pipefitter Labourer to support field and shop operations while learning foundational skills required to progress toward a skilled pipefitter role.

Role Summary

The EntryLevel Pipefitter Labourer supports pipefitters, welders, and crew leadership by performing general labour, material handling, tool operation, and basic pipefitting tasks under direct supervision. This role focuses on hands-on learning, safe work habits, and assisting with all aspects of pipeline and facility construction.

Industrystandard responsibilities for entry-level labourers include supporting installation tasks, handling tools and materials, and performing basic assembly or preparation work.
Labourers also assist with cutting, measuring, cleaning, and preparing piping components while working under supervision to gain technical experience


Qualification & Experience

  • Must be in the Drayton Valley area to be considered
  • No previous pipefitting experience required - onthejob training provided
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working long shifts outdoors
  • Safety tickets (or willingness to obtain upon hire):
    • CSO
    • First Aid
    • H2S Alive
    • Ground Disturbance II


Key Responsibilities

Technical Execution

  • Assist pipefitters with measuring, cutting, and preparing pipe sections for installation
  • Load, unload, and move materials to designated work areas
  • Use basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, wrenches) and power tools (grinders, saws) under supervision
  • Clean and prepare piping components, fittings, and materials
  • Support layout activities by organizing tools, parts, and equipment
  • Assist with bolting, assembly tasks, and installing basic supports
  • Keep work areas clean, stocked, and free of hazards
  • Learn to read simple drawings, tags, and material markings under guidance
  • Use of spray paint, brushes, solvents, and rags regarding proper storage, transportation, use, and disposal.
  • Assist in staging materials and tools for upcoming tasks
  • Help with jobsite setup, fencing, barricading, and housekeeping
  • Participate in pre-task preparation and understanding daily job plans
  • Support the crew in maintaining tool inventories and reporting damaged tools
  • Coordinate movement of materials as directed by senior staff

Working Conditions
