Duties As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER (GS-0346-13) you will serve as the base senior Logistics Management Officer/Commander assigned to the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, in an ANG Wing. Its primary purpose is to provide overall senior level supervisory management of the logistics personnel and programs. Plans, directs, and administers logistics programs to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Supervises positions engaged in substantive logistics work. Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, internal controls and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the State and Federal missions. Requirements Conditions of employment * NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Qualifications Military Grades: Officer GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have one year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience managing complex base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Experience directing and coordinating logistics activities including the authorized procurement and provisioning of supplies and services and management of materials and equipment. Experience exercising independent judgment involving major decisions and actions that have a direct and substantial effect on the organizations and programs managed. Experience managing all Wing and Geographically Separated Units deployment/redeployment processing, ensuring the deployment readiness of the members.
