Job description

This position performs complex professional work serving as a project manager in support of technical programs andprojects in the Town of Apex. An employee in this position works as aprofessional / certified engineer with considerable professional experience. Specific duties and responsibilities will include taskssuch as research and design of projects, oversight of construction,representation of the Town with other local, state, and/or federal agencies,and independent application of technical engineering knowledge.

The employeeexercises considerable judgment and independence of action including contactswith citizens, contractors, engineers, and developers. Technical guidance isprovided to technical and administrative personnel.This position reports to the Transportation Engineering Manager.
