Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Transport Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate Transports patients, supplies, and laboratory items in a safe efficient manner throughout the facility. Provide patient comfort, handle all patients in a calm and reassuring manner, and will assist with all transfers to and from bedside according to correct mode of transportation. Assists in the delivery of mail as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Logs in and out in a timely manner utilizing the schedule for shift assignment, breaks, and lunches. Response and completion times of all transports fall within established guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Manages all transport equipment. Cleans/sanitizes transport equipment after use. Returns all transport equipment to the proper storage area when not in use.
  • Establishes patient identification in conjunction with the Ticket to Ride procedure before transport is initiated
  • Transports delays/cancellations are reported to the receiving department and properly coded through the Transport Tracking system.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Transport or related experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
