Presbyterian Village, a premier retirement community in Austell, is seeking a PRN Transportation Assistant to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for our residents. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with seniors, providing excellent customer service, and creating a positive experience for residents.

Position Summary
The Transportation Assistant is responsible for providing transportation to residents for medical appointments, errands, shopping, leisure outings, and other approved trips. The Transportation Assistant ensures residents are transported safely, comfortably, and on schedule while providing friendly and professional customer service.
This is a PRN position with hours based on transportation needs and scheduling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, shopping, errands, leisure outings, and other approved destinations.
• Plan and follow appropriate routes and schedules to ensure timely transportation.
• Maintain familiarity with the local area, including medical offices, shopping centers, pharmacies, and other frequently visited destinations.
• Assist residents safely with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including assistance with seat belts and personal belongings as needed.
• Always maintain a safe and clean transportation environment.
• Complete required pre-trip preparations, including checking fuel, vehicle condition, passenger lists, and required supplies.
• Maintain a current and satisfactory driving record and operate all vehicles in accordance with facility safety policies.
• Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in resident appointments or transportation needs.
• Monitor residents during transportation and report any significant changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner and report concerns according to established procedures.
• Complete required transportation documentation, forms, and reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate respect and appreciation for the individuality, dignity, and life experiences of older adults.
Qualifications
• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with residents and staff.
• Must maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Must demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and professionalism.
• Must be able to work a flexible PRN schedule based on transportation needs.
