Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • A barback is an essential member of a bar team who supports bartenders and ensures smooth operations during service.
  • Barbacks are responsible for restocking the bar with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other supplies throughout their shift. This ensures that bartenders have everything they need to efficiently serve customers.
  • Barbacks keep the bar area clean and organized. This includes wiping down counters, cleaning glassware, and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.
  • Responsible for cleaning spills and ensuring that the bar is presentable at all times.
  • Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area.
  • Barbacks assist bartenders during busy periods by fetching ingredients, preparing garnishes, and helping to serve drinks.
  • Barbacks ensure that bar equipment, such as blenders, ice machines, and glassware, is clean and in working order.
  • Barbacks must adhere to all relevant health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
  • At the end of every closing shift secure liquor, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing duties.
  • Prepare daily purchasing list to maintain a healthy inventory level as directed by the manager.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

  • Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Technical beverage knowledge and expertise.
  • Organized disposition.
  • Must possess good communication skills in Spanish and English.
