Summary of Job Duties:
The Transplant Data and Quality Nurse for Transplant Services is responsible clinical data abstraction, design, capture, management, querying and reporting. The Data and Quality Nurse will effectively communicate and coordinate the flow of information among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and other staff. They will develop and maintain transplant statistical data and perform outcome monitoring in coordination with the Quality Director for the transplant department. The data and quality nurse assists in maintaining compliance with requirements of external agencies in the area of quality and accreditation surveys/inspections, specifically those related to Transplant, The Joint Commission, CMS, UNOS, and the ESRD Network.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Nursing Degree plus 3 years of nursing experience or
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Healthcare/Nursing related field plus 1 year of experience in nursing, EPIC and Electronic health information systems required.
  • Must have an RN license.
  • Experience with healthcare quality or performance improvement, with the ability to track, trend, and analyze data sets.
  • Should be proficient in data management, interpretation, and translating findings into actionable items to support quality and regulatory initiatives.

  • Transplant experience
