Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring high standards of quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a key client-facing role that blends operations, sales, and horticultural expertise into a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. This role also has a strong emphasis on leadership and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for landscape maintenance clients.
  • Conduct property inspections and walkthroughs to identify needs and ensure contract compliance.
  • Develop and present proposals, enhancements, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate all services from proposal to execution with precision and timeliness.
  • Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients.
  • Support billing and collections related to ongoing or extra work services.

Team Oversight & Operations
  • Manage and lead 3-5 landscape maintenance crews through proper and professional management and oversight of a Production Manager.
  • Train and coach Production Manager on best practices, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control visits and maintain work schedules to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure proper documentation for contracts, enhancements, and site changes.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and provide quick, effective solutions.

Horticulture & Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Southeastern U.S plant material, turf, and seasonal care.
  • Read and interpret detailed landscape plans and site specifications.
  • Oversee or apply proper use of fertilizers, fungicides, and pest/disease control measures.
  • Troubleshoot and manage irrigation systems.
  • Install and maintain low-voltage landscape lighting systems.

Sales & Profitability
  • Achieve or exceed annual revenue goals and profitability targets.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling enhancements and new services.
  • Monitor budgets and contribute to job costing and P&L analysis.
  • Maintain accurate estimating and billing records for all services.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape account or operations management.
  • Strong horticultural knowledge and technical landscape maintenance skills.
  • Valid and clean Driver's License.
  • Georgia Certified Landscape Professional (preferred).
  • Proficiency in industry software (Aspire, CompanyCam, GeoTab) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and maintenance specifications.
