Railserve is hiring an experienced and safety-focused Track Foreman in Cincinnati, OH to support railroad track maintenance within an industrial rail environment. This is a full-time, hands-on role responsible for coordinating daily track maintenance activities, leading work in the field, and helping maintain the rail infrastructure that supports safe and reliable customer operations.

Job Description
The Track Foreman is responsible for coordinating and performing railroad track inspection, maintenance, and repair activities within an active industrial facility. This is a working foreman position that spends the majority of the day performing track maintenance alongside the crew while helping organize daily work and ensuring jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
Rather than supervising direct reports, the Track Foreman provides day-to-day field leadership by coordinating work activities, promoting safe work practices, communicating with site leadership, and helping less experienced employees complete maintenance tasks correctly.
The ideal candidate has previous railroad track maintenance experience, leads by example, enjoys hands-on work, and can make an immediate impact on the quality and safety of the site's track infrastructure.
Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs
Compensation
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience
Duties
• Coordinate daily track maintenance activities with site leadership
• Lead by example while performing track maintenance alongside the crew
• Assist with planning daily work assignments and job priorities
• Drive spikes and install or replace track components
• Move, install, and replace railroad cross ties
• Inspect, adjust, and lubricate switches
• Tighten track bolts and hardware
• Check track gauge, cross level, and overall track condition
• Perform routine track inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Help train and mentor less experienced employees on safe work practices and proper maintenance procedures
• Communicate maintenance needs, project updates, and safety concerns to site leadership
• Ensure required personal protective equipment is used properly
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe operating condition
• Complete required documentation as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous railroad track maintenance experience required
• Experience serving as a lead, foreman, or senior track maintenance employee preferred
• Reliable transportation required
• Strong attendance and dependability required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and track maintenance equipment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate daily work activities and lead by example in the field
• Ability to follow safety rules, operating procedures, and customer requirements
• Ability to participate in Railserve's pre-employment screening process
• Military experience is a plus
