Position Summary

We are seeking a Transload Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of refined fuels (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc.) between trucks and railcars. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate transloading equipment to transfer refined fuels from truck to rail and vice versa.

  • Perform pre- and post-transfer inspections of equipment, hoses, connections, and safety devices.

  • Monitor product flow rates, pressure, and levels during transfers.

  • Follow all company and regulatory safety protocols, including DOT, OSHA, and environmental standards.

  • Accurately complete daily logs, bills of lading, and transfer documentation.

  • Communicate with drivers, rail personnel, and dispatch to coordinate loading/unloading operations.

  • Conduct routine housekeeping and assist with preventive maintenance on equipment.

  • Report any incidents, leaks, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • 1+ years of experience in fuel handling, transloading, or hazmat training (preferred).

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate pumps, valves, and hoses.

  • Knowledge of refined fuel products and associated hazards (preferred, training provided).

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and meet DOT physical requirements.

  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights when needed.

  • Stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Work in hot, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
