Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy industrial forklifts (8,000-50,000 lbs.), man lifts, and loaders with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-job inspections and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
  • Assist with deck and warehouse operations to support overall cargo handling activities.
  • Perform quality inspections of various cargoes and accurately record production information according to company standards.
  • Transload cargo to and from trucks, railcars, vessels, and barges, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in company safety initiatives and follow all operational directives and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment in a maritime or stevedoring environment (preferred).
  • Experience in cargo transportation (preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks, record keeping, and equipment operation.
  • Must possess a valid TWIC Card.
