Job description

NEP is transforming how the world consumes live sports and entertainment, built on a Global Media Solutions Ecosystem. The Connected Solutions division is the growth engine of this transformation, delivering centralized production, cloud-based workflows, and connectivity for the worlds biggest properties, streamers, and networks.

We are seeking a Senior Director, Business Affairs to serve as the lead execution partner to the SVP of Business Affairs, responsible for driving deal structuring, contract development, and commercial execution across Connected Solutions.

This role operates at the center of the deal-making lifecycle, partnering closely with Strategic Accounts and Sales leadership to structure, negotiate, and close complex agreements in alignment with established commercial frameworks and risk standards.

While the SVP Business Affairs defines global frameworks, governance, and policy, this role is responsible for executing those frameworks, ensuring deals move quickly, are structured properly, and translate into successful operational delivery. You will play a critical role in ensuring that Connected Solutions scales with both speed and discipline, where deals are not only well-structured, but efficiently executed and repeatable over time.

Key Responsibilities 1. Deal Structuring & Commercial Execution
  • Lead the structuring of complex commercial agreements across production, transmission, broadcast workflow, and managed services offerings
  • Partner directly with Strategic Accounts and Sales to shape deal models, pricing structures, and contract terms
  • Act as a core deal team member, supporting opportunities from early-stage development through contract execution
  • Ensure alignment with commercial frameworks, margin targets, and operational feasibility
2. Contract Drafting & Negotiation
  • Personally draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and related agreements
  • Drive negotiations with sophisticated enterprise customers, including global streamers, leagues, and media partners
  • Operate as a firm and pragmatic negotiator, protecting NEPs commercial position while enabling deal closure
  • Act as a day-to-day commercial authority on deals, escalating to SVP as required based on complexity and risk
3. Sales Partnership & Deal Enablement
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Sales, embedded within the deal lifecycle
  • Support pipeline progression by reducing friction in contracting, structuring, and approvals
  • Enable faster deal turnaround while maintaining consistency and discipline
  • Provide guidance to Sales on commercial positioning, contract strategy, and negotiation approach
4. Commercial Framework Implementation & Standardization
  • Execute against established commercial playbooks, templates, and pricing frameworks
  • Identify recurring deal patterns and contribute to the evolution of standardized structures
  • Reduce bespoke deal complexity by aligning opportunities to approved frameworks
  • Support the SVP in refining and scaling global commercial procedures and toolkits
5. Risk Management & Governance Execution
  • Ensure all agreements align with defined risk, legal, and financial standards
  • Identify and escalate material risks, deviations, or exceptions to SVP as needed
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to validate deal assumptions and commitments
  • Maintain discipline in documentation, approvals, and contract consistency
6. Cross-Functional Deal Coordination
  • Act as a key coordination point between Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Legal during deal execution
  • Ensure clear alignment between contractual terms and operational delivery requirements
  • Support seamless transition from deal execution to delivery with well-defined scope, pricing, and accountability
The Ideal Candidate

You are a highly capable deal operator who understands that speed and structure must coexist. You bring strong commercial instincts, contract expertise, and execution discipline to every deal.

  • The Executor: You move deals forward efficiently, removing bottlenecks without sacrificing rigor
  • The Dealmaker: You have a proven ability to structure and negotiate complex agreements with sophisticated customers
  • The Commercial Thinker: You understand pricing, margin, and risk tradeoffs in enterprise deals
  • The Partner: You work seamlessly with Sales while maintaining independence and discipline
  • The Translator: You can bridge legal, financial, and operational considerations into practical deal structures
Qualifications
  • 810 years in Business Affairs, Commercial Contracting, Deal Desk, or similar roles
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise sales and negotiating complex, global agreements
  • Background in media, technology, or managed services environments preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
