Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Business Development Manager owns and executes category-level seller acquisition strategies that help strategic sellers launch and scale in Canada. This role builds a qualified pipeline, sources and closes high-impact opportunities, and manages the seller journey from initial outreach through onboarding and go-to-market planning. Acting as a trusted advisor, the manager delivers tailored value propositions across logistics, advertising, localization, and marketplace solutions. They partner cross-functionally to resolve seller needs, develop executive relationships, represent Walmart Marketplace externally at trade shows and events, and champion platform capabilities.
About the team:
Our team supports the global growth of Walmart Marketplace sellers, focusing on Walmart Canada and emerging markets. As a Manager, Business Development – International Marketplaces, you will drive seller acquisition, manage a strategic pipeline, and assist sellers entering new markets. Collaborating with account management, fulfillment, advertising, and channel partnerships teams, you will help create a seamless go-to-market experience. This role is based on-site in Bentonville, AR, and emphasizes building strong business relationships, strategic planning, and cross-functional teamwork to enable sellers’ success on Walmart’s Global Marketplace.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you are a proactive, seller-obsessed hunter who thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, and creates structure where playbooks do not yet exist. You build trusted relationships, understand cross-border growth, and have a strong record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact deals. You turn ambitious goals into qualified pipelines, prioritize high-value opportunities, and navigate commercial, operational, regulatory, and market-specific challenges. You influence sellers and cross-functional partners, translate complexity into practical growth plans, and bring consultative sales experience across eCommerce, marketplaces, SaaS, logistics, or platform businesses while modeling Walmart’s values and acting with integrity.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
