United Resource Project is a non profit dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness by providing short-term lodging, food assistance, clothing, hygiene products, and crisis support services. Our mission is to restore dignity, stability, and hope by offering compassionate assistance and safe transitional housing.
Position Summary
United Resource Project is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and organized Transitional Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our transitional housing program. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can effectively manage staff, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, coordinate community assistance services, and ensure all guests are treated with dignity, warmth, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Residential Operations & Staff Management
  • ย Create, maintain, and manage all Residential Aide (RA) schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage at all times.ย 
  • ย Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise Residential Aides and volunteers.ย 
  • ย Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and performance evaluations.ย 
  • ย Ensure all staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.ย 
Facility Management
  • ย Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming residential environment.ย 
  • ย Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.ย 
  • ย Coordinate maintenance needs and address facility concerns promptly.ย 
  • ย Ensure guests and staff adhere to house rules and safety guidelines.ย 
Guest Services & Community Support
  • ย Treat all guests with warmth, compassion, dignity, and respect.ย 
  • ย Review and respond to service requests from community members seeking assistance.ย 
  • ย Evaluate and approve or deny requests for:ย 
    • ย Short-term emergency lodgingย 
    • ย Food assistanceย 
    • ย Clothing assistanceย 
    • ย Hygiene productsย 
    • ย Other support services for individuals experiencing homelessnessย 
  • ย Maintain accurate records of services provided and client interactions.ย 
Resource Distribution & Community Outreach
  • ย Coordinate and conduct food bank pickups and resource collection runs.ย 
  • ย Organize the delivery and distribution of food, clothing, hygiene items, and other donated goods to individuals in need.ย 
  • ย Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure resources are distributed appropriately.ย 
  • ย Develop relationships with community partners, food banks, donors, and service providers.ย 
Program Administration
  • ย Maintain accurate documentation, reports, schedules, and service records.ย 
  • ย Assist with program development and continuous improvement initiatives.ย 
  • ย Ensure compliance with nonprofit policies, grant requirements, and applicable regulations.ย 
  • ย Participate in emergency response and crisis intervention when necessary.ย
