About this Location:
This position is located at the MARRIOTT HOTEL in WALNUT CREEK, CA
The Walnut Creek Marriott is a full-service hotel offering 342 modern guest rooms and 18,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space. It features รtrio, a contemporary bar and restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine and craft cocktails, as well as a 24-hour fitness center, business center, and complimentary shuttle service within a 3-mile radius. Conveniently located near downtown Walnut Creek, the hotel is easily accessible via major highways and the BART system-providing direct transit to San Francisco, Oakland, and the broader Bay Area.
Purpose for the Position:
To clean rooms, halls, and perform a combination of tasks. This will maintain the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming.
  2. Sorts, counts, folds, marks, and carries linens.
  3. Moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets.
  4. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.
  5. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  6. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
  7. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
  8. Washes walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
  9. Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
  10. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  11. Replenishes bathroom supplies, bed linens, towels, guest amenities, light bulbs, drinking glasses, and writing supplies.
  12. Works with chemical cleaning products to achieve satisfactory cleanliness results.
  13. Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  14. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.
  15. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  16. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  17. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

  • Perform routine work or the same task repeatedly.

Requirements
Physical Demands: Medium work. Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • Previous experience is a plus.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Salary Description
$17-$20/hour
