Job Title: DRIVER - WESTERN TRANSIT SERVICES (WTS)

Location: Russellville, AR

Department: Transportation

Reports To: Transportation Manager

Employment Type: Part-Time


Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated WTS DRIVER to provide transportation services. As a WTS Driver, you will be responsible for transporting clients to various appointments, while ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers for the duration of the transport. The ideal candidate has very strong communication skills, is reliable, professional, and empathetic, with a passion for helping others. Candidates must be able to transport mobile and wheelchair bound passengers in all seasons of weather.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport: Operate vehicle according to assigned schedule to provide safe and reliable transportation. Collect passenger fare, as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while transporting patients and their caregivers.
  • Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Organization: Keep a clean and orderly work vehicle. Ensure documentation and reports are complete and turned in timely.
  • Safety: Comply with all safety and infection control procedures.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive, professional attitude and project a caring image. Wear company-issued ID at all times on the job.
  • Professional Development: Attend required training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  • Technology Use: Utilize applications as required for recordkeeping and communication.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and team.

  • Must not have any combination of two moving violations or accidents on the motor vehicle report.
  • Must possess a smartphone with acceptable internet capabilities and data limits required to perform certain functions of position.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality service. Strong communication skills needed.
  • Experience in driving or working with elderly or disabled is preferred.
