Overview:

The Manager Field Ops is responsible for managing all operational functions at a branch.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct oversight of dispatcher/routers, service technicians, pick up & delivery drivers, yard personnel, fence crew(s), and shop
  • Review of all paperwork including manifests, routing tickets, DVIRs, etc. for completion and accuracy
  • Monitor all service levels and deliveries to ensure the best efficiencies. Recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care
  • Work directly with other departments to ensure excellent/positive communication within the region
  • Work with various departments to resolve customer service & delivery issues. Work with Operations Managers at other branches to coordinate asset transfers
  • Maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs
  • Analyze and report on operational activities, i.e., service levels, routing efficiency, labor & overtime, and fuel
  • Work with the Regional Vice President to develop and implement standard practices and efficiency recommendations
  • Responsible for fleet DOT administration including, log books & record maintenance
  • Review and approve e-time punches prior to submitting for payroll processing. Review and approve time off request forms and schedule time off based on operational necessity
  • Administer the company's safety program at the branch. Work with Safety & HR departments to safety coordinate training, where necessary
  • Responsible for employee development & conducting periodic performance reviews
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment
  • Operate a variety of company vehicles
  • Pull trailers with company vehicles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position has supervisory responsibilities for staff at the location.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 Year / Associates Degree from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training 
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to accomplish results

  • Have experience with multi-stop routing system and dispatch procedures

  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Knowledge of all company assets in inventory
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls
  • Repeat the same movements
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance
  • Speak clearly so customers can understand
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them

Salary Range: $85,025.00 – $127,490.00 / year Pay Transparency Statement: At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
