MTM Transit, in partnership with CapMetro, is hiring full-time drivers to join our team in Austin, Texas! Start your new career without delay-our training classes begin every Monday.

What you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must possess a continuously valid US driver's license for 3 years

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire

  • No DUI or DWI convictions

  • No more than 1 suspension, moving violation, or citation within the last 3 years - no more than 2 within past 5 years

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

  • Must pass criminal background check investigationincluding a TX DPS MVR

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States

  • Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

  • Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice

  • Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality

  • Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions

  • Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules

  • Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations

  • Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You'll Do:

  • Provide safe and reliabletransportation

  • Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders

  • Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle

  • Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols

  • Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of thecustomer

  • Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities

  • Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired

  • Complete paperwork asrequired

  • Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
