Job description

PURPOSE
Responsible for end-to-end domestic outbound transportation carrier performance. Build the measurement framework and dashboards to track, monitor, and report key metrics that drive carrier performance and network optimization. Support outbound transportation priorities including DC operations and strategy execution.
Partner with internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party providers to achieve defined goals and KPIs. Leverage advanced Excel, Power BI, and SQL to perform deep-dive analysis of transportation spend, identify trends and root causes, and develop data-driven recommendations. Provide transportation performance support across all brands in partnership with the Transportation Management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary focus: Provide USA downstream transportation support for all channels (eCom, Retail, Partner Program, etc.).
  • Secondary focus: Backup CAN market support.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with outbound domestic carriers (TL, LTL, Parcel).
  • Develop, track, and deliver transportation KPI reporting to support performance management and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor carrier performance and service-level metrics to ensure SLA compliance and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external business partners to improve OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance and strengthen delivery execution.
  • Support Transportation optimization by providing analytics, reporting and operational insight focused around cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Administer parcel-carrier claims, reconcile documentation, and maintain a current backlog to support timely resolution and recovery.
  • Lead weekly U.S. in-transit audits with eCommerce partners, investigate exceptions, and coordinate resolution to protect delivery performance.
  • Implement and streamline operational processes across both US and CA markets where applicable.
  • Support the Retail Operations team by ensuring a seamless fulfillment process to all stores and pop-up locations.
  • Collaborate with carriers to enhance shipment visibility, strengthen exception management, and improve downstream reporting capabilities.
  • Lead and contribute to global projects and initiatives, as needed.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internally: Distribution, eCom, Retail and Finance, all brands and business units.
  • Externally: 3PL's , domestic carriers, and third-party customer service agents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent analysis and data management skills with demonstrated ability to organize data and prepare reports in a logical manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to navigate systems to obtain data required.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Transportation process.
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and SQL.
  • A consensus building, upbeat team contributor that can function as a future manager.
  • Ability to take ownership of a project, prioritizes effectively, and ultimately drives the project through to completion.
  • Self-motivated, high energy that can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across multiple businesses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both formal and informal communications.
  • Must have strong verbal and presentation skills; to conduct meetings and make presentations to direct manager and project teams.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S in Analytics, Business or Engineering. Six Sigma preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the supply chain or logistics industry or finance.
  • throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
  • At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, OR.
