Job Title: Transient - Facility Services Job Description

25% Performs a wide variety of physical labor functions. Operates a mower and tractor to cut grass; cleans various equipment. Digs ditches, mows lawns, trims shrubs, rakes grass, and picks up trash; performs other simple tasks in connection with nursery, greenhouse, flower beds and/or ground work.

25% Cuts, weeds, trees, and brush; cleans culverts, drains, and ditches; moves, loads, and unloads materials, supplies, and various equipment across campus; removes obstructions from roadway or premises; hauls or carries sand, lumber, asphalt, and cement; applies patching materials to roadway surfaces; spreads dirt, sand, bedding materials, applies mulch, pine straw, and rocks in various campus flower beds. Performs work in caring for various flower beds, seed beds and seedlings.

25% Assists with campus setups including hauling tables, chairs, podiums and any other items to and from events. Deliver supplies and materials to areas across campus prior to and after events.

15% Assists skilled workmen by carrying materials and tools or performing unskilled tasks such as mixing concrete or digging holes; moves furniture, and other heavy equipment around campus.

10% Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
