Hiring: Senior IT Project Manager – ERP Transformation (Public Sector – Alberta)-Remote-Meetings Quarterly for outside Edmonton candidates


Stafingo is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support our public sector client in Alberta on major enterprise ERP transformation initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong public-sector ERP delivery experience to lead and coordinate high-priority initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment, including 1GX ERP, OneStream, Procurement System Modernization, and Complex Scheduling solutions.


This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic government transformation programs involving procurement modernization, financial planning, workforce solutions, and enterprise business process improvements.


Position: Senior IT Project Manager (ERP Transformation)

Client: Public Sector

Start Date: August 3, 2026

End Date: June 30, 2027

Extension Option: 6 months

Location: Remote (Canada) with occasional onsite meetings in Alberta

Submission Deadline: Monday, June 29th, 2027 – EOD

Work Arrangement

The role is primarily remote.

Candidates located:

  • Edmonton area / Alberta: Expected onsite attendance approximately 1–2 times per month
  • Outside Alberta: Expected onsite attendance approximately once per quarter

All work must be completed from within Canada due to security and data requirements.


Key Responsibilities :

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Lead complex ERP transformation projects involving business, technical, vendor, and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and governance reporting.

Support initiatives including:

  • Procurement System Modernization (source-to-contract, procure-to-pay, contract management, supplier management, invoicing)
  • OneStream financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions
  • Complex Scheduling and workforce/pay-related initiatives
  • Develop project plans, charters, schedules, resource plans, risk strategies, and governance materials.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, briefing notes, steering committee updates, decision documents, and status reports.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, business areas, and technical delivery groups.
  • Ensure project outcomes align with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and government priorities.


Required Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of senior-level project management experience
  • Experience delivering large-scale ERP transformation initiatives
  • Public sector/government ERP project experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, 1GX, or comparable enterprise ERP platforms

Procurement modernization experience, including:

  • Source-to-contract
  • Procure-to-pay
  • Contract management
  • Supplier management
  • Invoicing processes
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, or fiscal-year lifecycle solutions
