Job description

The Manager – IT, Data Governance is responsible and accountable for driving implementation of end-to-end Global Data Governance at a domain level (e.g., Product, Customer, Vendor) to drive efficiency, business agility, cost savings, and innovation through effective decision-making. It is expected that this individual continuously invests in learning and stays informed of the latest in Data Governance, Analytics, and Data Science approaches, solutions, frameworks, technology offerings, and best practices.

Because they are a new organization, they have a very lean IT team. While they are also aware of what Data Management looks like, they are also early in being able to adopt this to maturity.

Because this is a smaller organization, this person wears a lot of hats. This person will largely be responsible for MDM and Data Governance Strategy, and Execution of their Roadmap. They will report to the Director of Data Analytics and Insights. They are looking for:

Someone who is self driven.

Someone with strong experience who can execute without a lot of guidance and report

Working with the Data Governance Counsel

Experience in being the SME in Data Management and Data Governance for an organization

Work with Agile methodologies. Use Jira, have 2 week sprints.

Will wear a lot of hats, including Scrum master/PM work.

Someone who can organize things and drive both projects and the team of 3 that is aligned

They have a data governance tool in databricks. will need to select and implement other tools.

They don't want this person to come change the strategy. They want someone who can come in and stick to the plan/execute

Because this person will collaborate with Global Teams (rest of team is in India), flexibility in taking calls outside of standard hours will sometimes be necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
