Job Summary
Join LAUSD as a Braille Transcriber and play a critical role in supporting the education of visually impaired students. As a full-time, in-person Braille Transcriber (E Basis - 11 months), you will transcribe a wide range of complex educational materials-such as literature, math, science, and foreign language-into Braille using specialized software and equipment. This position requires Library of Congress certification in Literary Braille, two years of relevant transcription experience (including Unified English Braille), and proficiency in tools such as Duxbury and Braille 2000.
